SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is one of the most essential web marketing tools. If your aviation business requires traffic to your website from search engines – then SEO must be a mandatory part of your internet marketing strategy. It’s really a wasted money to spend thousands of dollars developing a website, if no one can find it online!
We are expert at getting your website at the top of Google, Yahoo and Bing with our comprehensive Search Engine Optimization process:
- Research keywords and search terms that will generate the best results for your business and marketplace
- Create new on-page content that intuitively integrates keywords and search terms
- Reorganize website content, apply appropriate formatting, include meta-tags and formatting to enhance search engine performance
- Build thematic inbound links from aviation and aerospace websites and directories with relevant content to your business, as well as create inter-site links
- Incorporate geo-targeting and local search optimization
- Write and distribute online news releases and articles
- Create and write content for an aviation blog and coordinate with a social media campaign (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
Google AdWords & Pay-Per-Click Advertising
Another effective search marketing tool is Google AdWords and other “pay-per-click” (PPC) advertising platforms. PPC can provide a significant advantage by leapfrogging your competition you battle with in the organic search results.
Because it’s paid advertising you have control over where and when your ads will appear and can target customers by specific demographics, geography, interests and browsing devices.
And as the term “pay-per-click” suggests, you’ll only pay when someone actually clicks your ad, determined by the amount you’ve bid – making it easy to calculate your return on investment.

Email marketing works on the same principle as direct mail – you send information and/or sales offers to your target audience via email. It’s a terrific way to attract new prospects, while keeping loyal customers informed, too.
Setting up an email marketing campaign is relatively easy to set up and inexpensive to maintain. Emails marketing is versatile and, when used properly, welcomed by subscribers. Performance is easily tracked with metrics like open rates, click-throughs, downloads, leads generated and sales conversions.
Aviation Marketing Consulting can set-up your email marketing program, create an great looking email template with an effective sales message and content. We can also implement an ongoing email campaign or show you how to do it yourself!
More and more consumers are interacting online through their smartphones and tablets, and many businesses are including mobile marketing in their marketing mix. Three popular mobile marketing techniques are mobile-friendly websites, mobile apps and banner ads.
You may want to create a scaled-down version of your website that displays well on different mobile devices, or incorporate responsive web design into your current site.
Your business may want to develop mobile applications (apps) that provide a unique user experience within a self-contained environment. Pilots have embraced mobile apps as a way to enhance their flight planning and cockpit resource management.
Whether you need a responsive web design or mobile app, let Aviation Marketing Consulting make your business mobile!
NBAA’s Show App a Big Hit
To support its annual meeting and convention, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) developed a mobile app, which I found to be an invaluable tool for the show. The app provided a wealth of information: a schedule of events, a list of exhibitors, special alerts, local restaurants and places of interest. It includes a floor plan of the exhibition center with a handy “locate me” function to show you where you are on the convention floor. This is mobile marketing at its best – informative, engaging and helpful.
Connect with Your Customers Through Multimedia
Consumers flock to the internet to consume free content, and they’re especially drawn to photos and videos. Thanks to major advances in photography, anyone can achieve quality results with today’s relatively low-cost digital cameras and camcorders.
Many smartphones can take high-quality photos and video, too, and most Apple computers come with software for editing and producing video. So you don’t have to hire Steven Spielberg to create decent multimedia content. Sure, professional production is a must when a professional presentation is warranted, but there’s a certain appeal to those amateur videos on YouTube that we all love to watch.
Next time you attend a trade show, snap a few photos of your booth and other exhibits that catch your eye and post them on your company Facebook page. Record a podcast with a fellow pilot on a current topic of interest. Film a short video demonstrating a new product your company sells. Then upload them to YouTube, post them to your website, or email them to your newsletter list and watch your traffic spike.
